Communications and IT Minister Amr Talaat witnessed the inking of a cooperation agreement between Nokia, HMD Global OY and EAI for manufacturing one million mobile devices, including smart and feature phones, within 2022 and doubling production within the coming period.

The minister underlined that the agreement falls within the framework of the state efforts to secure needed climate for boosting investments of international companies in Egypt.

This underlines the government’s keenness on incentivizing the private sector for manufacturing at Egyptian companies to localize electronics industry, he added.
