No deaths among Jordanian pilgrims, says ministry

The Awqaf Ministry on Wednesday said that no pilgrims from the Jordanian hajj mission to the Holy Land has died. The ministry’s spokesperson Ali Al-Daqamseh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the Jordanian citizen, whose death was reported via local media, is not among the members of the Jordanian Hajj mission, noting that the deceased resides in Saudi Arabia, and works in Jeddah, and he had a traffic accident and died as a result. Al-Daqamseh offered condolences to deceased’s family and prayed for him to rest in peace. On the other hand, the spokesperson said that all Jordanian pilgrims were transferred from Medina to Mecca, housed in hotels and provided with all services, stressing that all of them are in good health.
