NMEC receives German FES foundation delegation

A delegation representing Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) foundation led by Martin Schulz, the foundation’s chairman, visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) on Tuesday 4/10/2022 on the sidelines of a current visit to Egypt.

Presidential Adviser for Engineering Affairs Hani Azer accompanied the delegation during a tour of the museum.

The FES’s chairman and members of the delegation voiced happiness over visiting the remarkable feat of architecture, housing a full range of unique Egyptian artefacts.

At the end of the tour, Schulz was keen on recording his experience in the museum’s Visiting Book and taking photos, along with the delegation’s members, as they were gifted with souvenirs in memory of their visit.

The FES is a non-profit German foundation funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, inspired by its general aims to promote democracy and social justice, to support economic and social development, as well as to advocate for human rights and gender equality, the FES started working in Egypt in 1976.

The office operates in cooperation with local partners within the framework of an agreement with the Egyptian government.
