Wellington: Governor-General of New Zealand Cindy Kiro expressed her appreciation for Egypt’s pivotal role in achieving peace in the Middle East. This acknowledgment came during Kiro’s meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to New Zealand, George Azar, held on the sidelines of the country’s National Day celebrations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian diplomat conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s good wishes to the government and people of New Zealand. The meeting highlighted Egypt’s efforts in maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and advancing reconstruction efforts in the region.
