His Majesty King Mohammed VI launched this initiative on a global scale to promote access for the Sahel States to the Atlantic Ocean during the Sovereign’s speech, delivered on November 6, 2023, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Green March.

During this meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, the ministers of Foreign Affairs praised the action carried out by the National Task Forces of Morocco, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Chad during the 1st meeting of the Natio

This meeting enabled the National Task Forces to review the projects proposed by Morocco within the framework of this international initiative, which are in line with the national development plans currently being implemented in each of these countries.

To this end, the ministers of Foreign Affairs welcomed the progress made in the operationalization of this international initiative.

The ministers of Foreign Affairs of Morocco, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Niger and the Republic of Chad agreed to meet soon as part of the continued operationalization of the international initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at promoting access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean.
