New Israeli airstrike kills 4 in southern Lebanon

Four people were martyred in an airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes on Monday evening on a five-story residential building in the town of Ain Baal in southern Lebanon.

A Lebanese security source told Petra’s correspondent in Beirut that “Israeli airstrikes also targeted two houses in the town of Rasm al-Hadath in the south, resulting in fatalities and injuries.”

“A fire truck belonging to the Islamic Health Organization in Hermel was also targeted while carrying out its duty to extinguish fires, and its crew survived.”

“Successive airstrikes are again targeting the towns of Khiam, Kunin, Abba and Burj Rahal,” the source said.

Hezbollah announced in a statement that “the Israeli claims of assassinating one of its leaders, Ali Karaki, are not true, and he is fine and has moved to a safe place.”

Lebanese Minister of Public Works Ali Hamia announced in a television interview that “work at Beirut airport is still ongoing, but there are foreign and Arab airlines that have suspended their flights from t
he airport, but in general work is still ongoing at the airport.”
