NCW and UAE Family Minister Discuss Cooperation on Women’s Empowerment and Family Support


Cairo: Head of the Egyptian National Council for Women (NCW), Amal Ammar, engaged in discussions with UAE Family Minister, Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation and sharing expertise in empowering women and strengthening family ties. This dialogue took place within the context of Egypt’s involvement in the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69).

According to State Information Service Egypt, Ammar emphasized that Egyptian women are experiencing an unprecedented era of empowerment, thanks to the supportive political climate. She highlighted the national strategy aimed at empowering Egyptian women by the year 2030. Ammar also outlined the initiatives undertaken by Egypt and the NCW to support families through various awareness programs.

In response, the UAE minister detailed her ministry’s efforts in bolstering family support and advancing women’s empowerment. These discussions are seen as a step forward in fostering collaboration between Egypt and the U
AE in these critical areas.
