Navy Foils Narcotics Smuggling Attempt in Red Sea


Red Sea: A Navy unit operating within the Southern Fleet’s range in the Red Sea base has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle quantities of narcotic substances. The unit, during routine operations within its zone of tasks, identified and seized two feluccas involved in the smuggling activities.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the operation led to the confiscation of approximately 34,750 bundles of hash and 365 rolls of dry hydro narcotic. The seized drugs and individuals involved in the smuggling attempt have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal proceedings.



This operation aligns with the directives of the Armed Forces’ General Command, which aims to intensify efforts in securing and protecting the country’s borders across all strategic directions.
