Cairo: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance food safety in Egypt, the National Food Safety Authority announces the signing of a strategic partnership with Fixed Egypt for Digital Solutions and Information Security. This partnership aims to implement an ambitious project to develop and automate the food production and trade monitoring system in the local market, which will contribute to facilitating, accelerating, and improving the efficiency of regulatory processes, keeping pace with the demands of the digital age.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this project comes as a qualitative step within the strategic plan of the National Food Safety Authority for 2023 – 2026, aiming to enhance the efficiency of registration, monitoring, inspection, and the issuance of export fitness certificates through an integrated digital platform. This platform will improve internal workflows and also provide a comprehensive gateway for all stakeholders involved in the food production and trade chain, including prod
ucing companies, regulatory bodies, and consumers, to create an interactive environment that contributes to raising awareness of the importance of food safety.
This new digital platform represents a qualitative leap in dealing with data and information related to food safety, as it will allow the Authority’s clients immediate and seamless access to multiple services, including facility registration, monitoring production stages, and inspection results. This platform will enable all beneficiaries to stay informed about updated local, regional, and global food safety standards and regulations to enhance compliance and adherence to safety procedures, thereby contributing to raising public awareness of food safety and quality culture.
As part of this partnership, decision-makers will benefit from accurate analytical reports that support the rapid and effective implementation of strategic plans and facilitate decision-making based on statistics and facts, thus enhancing the Authority’s leading role in protecting
consumer health. The system’s infrastructure has been designed to be robust and secure, ensuring data protection and providing updated solutions to address any potential technical challenges.
The National Food Safety Authority confirmed that this project not only aims to improve internal performance but will also have a direct and tangible impact on the local market, in addition to facilitating trade, promoting export growth, and supporting the leadership of Egyptian food products. It emphasized that the new digital platform will contribute to achieving greater transparency in food monitoring operations and facilitating communication with all concerned parties.
For its part, Fixed Egypt for Digital Solutions and Information Security expressed its commitment to providing the best technological solutions to ensure the success of this project, stressing that this collaboration represents a model for successful partnership between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable development goals in the fo
