The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue has decided to launch its second phase, General Coordinator, and the Chairman of the State Information Service, Diaa Rashwan announced in a statement Sunday.

It will begin immediately by responding to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s call to focus on a deep and comprehensive treatment of the current conditions of the Egyptian economy to reach specific and detailed recommendations and procedures, Rashwan said.

The recommendations will be urgently submitted to President Sisi to effectively deal with the challenges the economy is currently facing with their social repercussions, he added.

The first period of the National Dialogue sessions and events will exclusively focus on the economy, Rashwan said.

He invited all participants, whether entities or individuals, to send their detailed written perceptions of the various issues and challenges of the current Egyptian economy before February 11.
