National and Islamic forces in Gaza: We warn against plans to replace the Rafah crossing

Gaza – Together – The Follow-up Committee for the National and Islamic Forces in the Gaza Strip said, ‘We are following the news about parties coordinating with the occupation to facilitate the travel of some patients and those with foreign nationalities through the Kerem Shalom crossing and what is known as the ‘David Corridor,’ which the occupation established along the Philadelphia axis.

She continued, “We warn against aligning with plans to replace the Rafah crossing and its consequences.”

She added, “This is a dangerous development that reveals the intentions of the occupation and its plans to replace the Rafah crossing and voluntarily displace Palestinians.”

She said, “We call on Egypt to reject this plan, which harms Egyptian sovereignty and national security.”

She added, “We call on all countries and international organizations not to contribute to passing the occupation’s plans under humanitarian names.”

Its statement said, “We confirm that the Rafah land crossing is a purely Palestinian-Egyptia
n crossing, and it will remain so.”

She said that the management of the Rafah crossing is a Palestinian matter and is subject to Palestinian consensus only.

She added, “We will not accept the imposition of the agendas of the occupation and the world on us regarding the Rafah crossing.”
