Marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which falls on November 29 each year, the national and Islamic factions today called for broad participation in activities organized at noon tomorrow in the city of Ramallah in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in rejection of the occupation’s crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people.
The factions stressed the need for an immediate cessation of the occupation’s crimes and genocide, said a statement issued on this occasion.
The factions stressed the necessity of a sustainable truce and to bring medical aid, food supplies, and fuel into the Gaza Strip.
The statement affirmed the Palestinian people’s absolute rejection of displacement and all attempts speaking of scenarios to separate the Gaza Strip, stating that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the territories of the State of Palestine.
The factions also affirmed the rejection of any attempts to undermine Palestinian representation, stressing that
the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people wherever they are.
The factions added that all attempts to undermine this will fail as they have failed before, emphasizing the pressing need for the international community to work together toward a political process by the framework of the United Nations, leading to the ending of the occupation and the establishment of an independent, fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and guaranteeing the right of return for refugees.
They called on the Palestinian people, especially in the West Bank and Jerusalem, to commemorate this occasion with marches and events that affirm the unity of our people in the face of Israeli aggression and crimes, affirming the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence.
The factions said that activities would be organized in all refugee camps, the diaspora, and in most capitals of the world to reflect the broadest participation and s
olidarity with the rights of the Palestinian people and to call for imposing sanctions on the Israeli occupation, isolating it, and prosecuting it without double standards, particularly before the International Criminal Court.
