Cairo: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has intensified its preparations for Eid al-Fitr, during which millions flock to museums and archaeological sites across the country to celebrate the holiday.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Supreme Council of Antiquities has formed an operation room comprising representatives from various departments to monitor the progress of work and the reception of visitors at various museums and archaeological sites across the country during the Eid holiday.
The operation room will take all necessary security measures, ensuring the continuous presence of all antiquity inspectors and museum curators at various archaeological sites and museums during scheduled visiting hours. This ensures the smooth running of work and removes any obstacles that might hinder visitors from enjoying their visit.
This comes in light of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ regulatory and oversight role, and the large influx of visitors, particularly Egyptians, to Egyptian museums and archaeological sites during Eid al-Fitr, who enjoy the holiday and learn about their ancient civilization up close.
