MOSCOW: Soaring temperatures in Moscow shattered a 134-year-old record on Tuesday, reaching 32 degrees Celsius (89.6 Fahrenheit), TASS News Agency reported.
The previous record was set in 1890, when the temperature reached 31.9 degrees Celsius (87.8 Fahrenheit), Director of the Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia Roman Vilfand told TASS.
Vilfand added that the temperature reached 33.2 degrees Celsius (91,4 Fahrenheit) around 3 pm in some areas.
