The Moscow International Film Festival commenced on Friday in the Russian capital, Moscow. The festival, which runs until 28th August, features participation from over 40 countries and more than 100 representatives from the Middle East and North Africa. The event aims to expand creative and professional connections and enhance cooperation in the film industry globally.
The festival programme, which serves as a platform for creative exchange and showcasing the best films from around the world, features over 300 films, including 70 international films alongside Russian productions. Additionally, around 200 events are scheduled each day across various venues, such as cinemas, parks, museums, and hotels, along with cultural sessions, seminars, and roundtable discussions.
Representatives from Russian and foreign film companies will explore the latest developments in the film industry and discuss cooperation opportunities and filming prospects in Russia.
