Rabat – Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, held a meeting, here Monday, with a delegation of the Commission on Delegate Affairs of the National Assembly of Vietnam, led by Nguyen Anh Tuan.

Quoted in a press release from the House of Representatives, Talbi Alami lauded, during this meeting attended by the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Rabat, the excellent ties uniting Morocco and Vietnam, particularly at the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary levels.

He also briefed the Vietnamese parliamentary delegation on the significant reforms and projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI. The Lower House Speaker also gave extensive explanations on the administrative and electoral division of the Kingdom, the House’s structure, and its prerogatives, particularly regarding public policy evaluation.

For his part, Nguyen Tuan Anh, who is a member of Vietnam’s National Assembly, praised, on behalf of the del
egation of the Commission on Delegate Affairs, the leading role of the Kingdom in Africa.

He also noted that this visit aims mainly to anchor cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries and exchange experiences and expertise.

The delegation of the Commission on Delegate Affairs of the National Assembly of Vietnam is set to hold a series of talks with the Standing Committees of the House of Representatives, the press release added.

The House of Representatives and the National Assembly of Vietnam had concluded a cooperation agreement in 2017 in Hanoi.
