United Nations (New York) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Thursday in New York with his counterpart from the Union of the Comoros, Mbae Mohamed.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, both ministers welcomed the existing relations of cooperation and solidarity between Morocco and the Union of the Comoros, enhanced by the sincere ties of friendship and fraternity between the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Azali Assoumani.
The two parties reviewed the state of relations between Morocco and the Union of the Comoros, as well as ways of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The two ministers also exchanged in-depth views on regional and international issues of common interest, and welcomed the alignment of their positions on major regional concerns such as development, peace and security in Africa and the world.
At the end of th
e meeting, a joint communiqué was signed by the two ministers.
