Morocco, El Salvador to Promote Parliamentary Cooperation

Rabat – Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami held talks, here Monday, with a parliamentary delegation of the Republic of El Salvador’s Legislative Assembly, on the importance of exchanging experiences and maintaining parliamentary communication and coordination to serve the two countries’ common interests.

Led by Carlos René Hernandez Castillo, the Salvadoran parliamentary delegation will hold talks with several officials and pay field visits to explore the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, thus establishing Morocco as a leader in several fields, the House of Representatives said in a press release.

Attended by Chairperson of the Morocco-El Salvador Parliamentary Friendship Group, Rep. Abdelfattah El Aouni, and Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to Rabat Ignacio de Cossio Perez de Mendoza, the talks were an opportunity to review the parliamentary experiences of the two countries, underscoring the importance of these vi
sits in strengthening bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation and coordination in various international gatherings for a joint parliamentary action that serves the interests of Morocco and El Salvador, the same source added.

During this meeting, both parties also focused on the means to consolidate bilateral relations based on mutual respect, defence of global peace and security and joint action for human development and prosperity.

The meeting provided an opportunity to examine and discuss several issues of mutual interest, such as migration, food and energy security, investment, green economy, education, health and digital transformation, the press release concluded.
