More civilian casualties in Gaza as Israel bombs a school housing displaced families in Khan Yunis

KHAN YUNIS: In a devastating Israeli airstrike early this morning, five civilians were massacred and dozens were wounded when an Israeli airstrike targeted a school sheltering displaced people in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, according to local and medical sources.

A few hours earlier, at least four civilians, including children, were killed, and others injured when Israeli forces bombarded the Abu Nasr family home in the western camp west of Khan Yunis. The casualties were swiftly transported to Nasser Hospital in the city.

The artillery shelling by Israeli occupation forces overnight and into the morning in various neighborhoods of Khan Yunis resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike hit a residential block near Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza, leading to scores of casualties and injuries. The victims were rushed to the Abu Yusuf al-Najjar Hospital in the city.

Israeli airstrikes also targeted residential areas and homes in Deir al-Balah, Gaza City, Nusairat,
and Jabalia, causing several injuries among the civilian population.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has tragically claimed the lives of 18,787 individuals, including over 7,000 children, and left approximately 50,900 injured, according to a non-final tally.
