The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) will showcase a range of digital transformation initiatives that were integrated into its services at this year’s GITEX Global, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14th to 18th October 2024.

The ministry’s participation in the DGOV Stand at the exhibition reflects its efforts in embracing digital solutions and artificial intelligence to enhance its services, elevate customer experience, contribute to the UAE’s leadership and competitiveness in government services, and consolidate its position as a global pioneer in the digital economy.

Through its interactive screens, MoHRE is showcasing its smart application, which offers a comprehensive suite of services for establishments, employees, and domestic workers to securely and effortlessly complete all transactions while ensuring confidentiality. The app also provides real-time updates to employers on the status of their facilities and workers.

The application helps them avoid fines or violations,
educates workers about their rights and duties, and enables them to communicate with the ministry directly, among other services.

The ministry is also introducing visitors to the Work Bundle, one of the key outcomes of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which provides accessible, fast, and integrated services in collaboration with partners, reducing the requirements and procedures needed to avail them.

MoHRE’s interactive screens also feature the Labour Market Observatory, which presents periodic data in Arabic and English on various labour market indicators in the UAE.

Furthermore, the ministry is showcasing a Labour Market Simulation Model – an interactive platform similar to ChatGPT that allows data analysts and MoHRE specialists to test and design policies by simulating their potential impact on the labour market using advanced technology.

Additionally, the ministry will showcase the Artificial Intelligence in Quota Distribution System (Work Permit Quotas for Establishments), an AI-powered dec
ision-making system to enhance the quota allocation process, which typically involves a manual review by the committee of each quota application, evaluating documents, company data, and other requirements before making decisions.

The new project will speed up routine decisions and reduce bureaucracy, in line with the ministry’s commitment to leveraging technology to achieve operational excellence, ensure data-driven decision-making, and address potential challenges, such as insufficient time, human error, and inefficient use of data.

The public can also explore the Automated Approval Project – a software technology that employs automation to streamline routine processes and simulate human actions within digital systems, serving as a bridge between human creativity and machine precision.

The ministry’s platform also allows the public to view the E-authorisation service, enabling employers to access the ministry’s services without needing the traditional e-signature card.

The Ministry of Human Resources and
Emiratisation is the first federal entity to transfer all of its systems and services from its main data centre to the federal cloud network infrastructure (FedNet) at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), in line with its strategic plans for digital transformation.

The ministry continues to engage with its customers through its website, WhatsApp, and the Nafis programme application, which contributed to an exceptional increase in the number of Emiratis working in the private sector.
