ABU DHABI: The UAE Ministry of Interior is hosting the third ‘UN Police Chiefs’ Performance in Peacekeeping Operations’ Workshop outside of UN headquarters, focusing on improving the management of UN police leaders during peacekeeping missions in crisis and conflict.
The UAE’s commitment to global security is underscored by hosting this four-day international event, which draws widespread international participation. This reinforces the nation’s dedication to supporting international policing efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across communities worldwide.
The workshop opened with a welcoming address from the UAE Ministry of Interior, highlighting the country’s pivotal role in advancing international cooperation and coordination to foster safer societies globally.
Police leaders are convening to discuss strategies for enhancing police performance, promoting global security, and addressing international challenges. Topics include future frameworks for international police cooperation, institutio
nal development, and performance indicators.
The global gathering opened yesterday with the participation of police leaders from around the world, and in the presence of officers from the United Arab Emirates, who are sharing with their counterparts around the world the best practices and successful experiences, while exchanging expertise and knowledge in order to enhance joint international cooperative work, especially in the areas of establishing the foundations of security and peace in post-crisis and post-war societies.
