The Ministry of Health signed Tuesday a memorandum of cooperation with the ACDIMA Center for Bioequivalence and Pharmaceutical Studies to organize clinical research, draw in researchers locally and globally and train health personnel to enable them to engage in clinical studies efficiently.
According to a ministry statement on Tuesday, the memorandum of understanding was signed by Minister of Health Firas Hawari and the Executive Director of the ACDIMA Center Rabab Tayyem.
Hawari pointed out the importance of this cooperation in providing treatment opportunities for specific diseases, explaining that the ministry, according to the memorandum, will establish a specialized unit for clinical studies and medical research, in cooperation with ACDIMA, to enable patients to benefit from specialized and modern treatments for some rare, intractable and chronic diseases, which cannot be treated by approved treatments anymore.
He pointed out that this cooperation will enrich the expertise of health personnel, cement the concept of scientific research and keep pace with the work of international institutions in this field.
According to Hawari, this cooperation is an embodiment of the Economic Modernization Vision and the strategy of the Ministry of Health in the field of developing human resources and expertise to spread the concept of scientific and medical research and its applications to the Jordanian health sector and the region.
For her part, Tayyem expressed the commitment of the ACDIMA Center to translate the joint cooperation with the Ministry of Health into reality, hailing the efforts of the Ministry of Health in the field of continuous development and improvement of health care.
