CAIRO: Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Mohamed Salah Eddin, and Minister of Awqaf, Osama al-Azhari, engaged in discussions to bolster cooperation aimed at national development. The meeting focused on initiatives related to electricity and water conservation, in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions centered on addressing the Ministry of Awqaf’s needs concerning electricity consumption in mosques and ministry facilities. This will be achieved by supplying energy-efficient lamps and reviewing electrical panels, contributing to significant energy savings. Additionally, the installation of smart water-saving devices, produced by the Helwan Diesel Engines Company under the Ministry of Military Production, is planned for several mosques across the nation.
Minister Salah Eddin highlighted that this collaboration forms part of the Ministry of Military Production’s policy to support national development projects in p
artnership with various state entities. He assured that the military production units are committed to executing assigned projects with precision and within the stipulated timelines.
Minister Al-Azhari expressed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the ministries, noting its contribution to enhancing the Ministry of Endowments’ operations. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the resources available through the Ministry of Military Production to support charitable, social, and economic projects that benefit Egyptian citizens and serve the public interest.
Al-Azhari also acknowledged the Ministry of Military Production’s pivotal role in both military manufacturing and the execution of developmental projects. He praised the ministry’s efficiency and precision in manufacturing, which he noted is crucial for maximizing the benefits from the surplus production capacities to produce high-quality civilian products.
