The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) have praised Egypt’s National Digital Learning Platform, the “Egyptian Knowledge Bank” (EKB), in a joint comprehensive case study, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour said.

The study recognized the EKB as a leading platform for knowledge and learning support in Egypt, highlighting it as one of the successful global models for digital learning, he added in a statement.

The study was the first release within the “Public Digital Learning Gateways” initiative, launched by UNESCO in partnership with UNICEF to empower public digital learning platforms worldwide.

The study underscored the Egyptian Knowledge Bank as one of the largest and leading public platforms in Africa and the Middle East, emphasizing its role in disseminating knowledge and learning resources through collaborations with major global publishers.
