Minister of State for Military Production Heads to UAE for IDEX 2025


Abu Dhabi: Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, is en route to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the International Defence Exhibition “IDEX 2025”. The event is scheduled from 17 to 21 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The Minister emphasized that the exhibition serves as a significant platform for exchanging experiences and learning about the latest manufacturing technologies.



According to State Information Service Egypt, “IDEX” gathers leaders, decision-makers, senior officials, and experts in the defence industry from numerous countries to discuss technological advancements addressing global challenges. Minister Mohamed Salah’s participation follows an invitation from the UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, highlighting the cooperative relations between Egypt and the UAE in military manufacturing.



The Egyptian Ministry of Military Production will present its products, including weapons, ammunition, and advanced defence systems, at the Egyptian pavilion. This marks the ministry’s fifth consecutive participation in the exhibition, having attended previous editions in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023.



Mohamed Saqr, media advisor to the Minister and official spokesperson, stated that the Minister is scheduled to meet key figures and company heads at “IDEX 2025”. He will also visit several country pavilions, inviting companies to participate in the Egypt International Defence Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025” in December.



The International Defence Exhibition “IDEX” is biennially organized in the UAE, showcasing the latest in defence technologies across land, sea, and air sectors. This seventeenth edition, organized by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Economic Council, will feature 1,353 exhibitors from 65 countries and is expected to attract over 132,000 visitors. Spanning 162,000 square meters with 41 pavilions, it is set to be the largest edition since its inception.
