Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila discussed with her Egyptian counterpart Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, enhancing medical support and the provision of essential needs to the Palestinian people, especially those wounded in the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
During a meeting held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, in Cairo, the Egyptian minister affirmed Egypt’s readiness to receive a larger number of wounded from Gaza and provide them with adequate diagnostic and therapeutic services in Egyptian hospitals.
The Egyptian minister stressed the need for the international community to focus on providing the necessary psychological support to the Palestinian people due to the serious psychological effects caused by the war.
He welcomed the increase of all means of assistance and support for the Palestinian people; the start of cooperation for the reconstruction of the war-torn Gaza, and restoring the health system of the Strip.
