Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, convened with Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit set for November 11 in Riyadh.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ambassador Tamim Khilaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed that Minister Abdel Aati highlighted Egypt’s continuous efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the need for complete and unhindered humanitarian aid access to the region, expressing a strong condemnation of ongoing Israeli actions and any attempts to obstruct the operations of UNRWA. The Minister underscored the importance of engaging with international organizations to ensure the agency’s support and protection.

ed Egypt’s commitment to support the Palestinian people until the establishment of a Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for empowering the Palestinian Authority.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for Minister Abdel Aati to outline Egypt’s historical and ongoing support for the Palestinian cause, which includes humanitarian efforts such as facilitating more than 70% of the aid entering the Gaza Strip. He stressed Egypt’s role in offering medical care to thousands of injured Palestinians, vaccinating children, and supporting Palestinian educational pursuits through the Ministry of Education and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
In response, the Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude for Egypt’s multifaceted support for Palestinian rights. He commended the President of Egypt’s endeavors to alleviate Palestinian suffering and his commitment to restoring Palestinian rights, including the right
to self-determination.
