Finance Minister Mohamed Maait asserted that Egypt is looking forward to benefiting from Hong Kong experience in boosting the investment flows in accordance with the keenness of the Egyptian side on developing joint relations between both sides and attracting more Chinese investments to benefit from the Egyptian development experience to encourage new segments of foreign investors to work in Egypt and expand their activities.

This came during Maait’s meeting with Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong Christopher Hui Ching-yu on Saturday 27/01/2024 on the sidelines of Asian Financial Forum to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging expertise on the mechanisms to handle the negative impacts of the global economic crisis and geopolitical tensions.

Maait said that the Egyptian government is following a diverse and creative finance strategy that focuses on diversity of markets and tools of finance and investors to contribute to handling inflation practices resulting from suc
cessive global crises, achieving sustainable development and providing easy developmental funding to achieve economic goals.

He pointed out to studying new tools that allow the international banks and multiparty developmental banks to rally financial resources with facilities for the developing and African countries.
