Minister: Education ministry prioritizes structuring education, restoring teacher’s prestige

Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif asserted that his ministry prioritizes structuring education of Egypt and preparing some regulations to restore teacher’s prestige.

This came in Abdel Latif’s word before a parliamentary committee formed to study the program of the new government.

The most prominent problems facing the education in Egypt is the high capacity of students in classes, the shortage in teachers number, Thanawya Amma and the return of students to schools, he said, adding that the number of students in some classes vary between 120 and 130 students.

The ministry will renovate buildings of schools differently to operate in light of available potentials, he said.

The ministry prepared a strategic plan to end these problems before the start of the new academic year due in September, he added.
