Cairo: The Ministry of Military Production organized a concluding ceremony for a training program on ‘fiber optics technology and its applications’ to a number of trainees representing a number of African countries at the training sector affiliated to the ministry. The ceremony was attended by a number of the leaders of the ministry and Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) Osama Elhady.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the training program was organized on February 2-13 for 22 trainees from 12 African countries including Cameroon, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Djibouti, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, and Somalia in cooperation with the EAPD. This initiative aligns with the directives of Minister of Military Production Mohamed Salaheldin Moustafa to leverage the ministry’s capabilities in training to benefit African countries.
This effort is part of a decade-long collaboration with the EAPD, aimed at training African counterparts in various technical fields such as fiber optics, mechatronics, and water testing. Meanwhile, Osama Elhady praised the cooperation between the EAPD and the ministry in delivering these training services, expressing optimism for more future courses following the success of previous programs. He also highlighted the EAPD’s role in strengthening relations with Egypt.
