Military Production Minister Stresses Importance of Regular Monitoring for Development


Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Dien Mostafa underscored the critical need for regular monitoring of production processes across all affiliated companies and units, aiming to create a clear vision for development and boost production. The minister’s remarks came during an unannounced visit to Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (Factory 999), as part of his series of onsite inspections of Military Production entities.



According to State Information Service Egypt, Mostafa emphasized the necessity for partnerships with both local and international private sectors to enhance manufacturing capabilities. He highlighted the value of proactive problem-solving, the adoption of modern technology, asset preservation, and strict adherence to occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.



During his inspection tour, the minister reviewed the company’s production lines, which deliver various military equipment to the armed forces, including mortars, rocket launchers, and bridge-laying equipment. Additionally, the company produces civilian products such as agricultural machinery, environmental equipment, and transportation components, showcasing its diverse manufacturing portfolio and contribution to multiple sectors.
