Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah el Dien Mostafa emphasized the essential role of regular monitoring in the development of production processes across military production companies and units. This declaration was made during a surprise inspection visit to Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company, also known as Factory 999, and is part of his ongoing onsite monitoring tours of Military Production firms and units.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Mostafa underscored the necessity of collaborating with both local and international private sectors to bolster manufacturing capabilities. He pointed out the significance of proactive problem-solving, the adoption of modern technology, asset preservation, and strict adherence to occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.
During the inspection tour, the minister reviewed the company’s production lines, which are responsible for supplying the armed forces with various military equipment, including mortars, rocket launchers, and bridge-laying equipment. Additionally, the company is involved in the manufacture of several civilian products, such as agricultural machinery, environmental equipment, and transportation components.
