State Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi held talks via video conference with Board Chairman of the German company of DMG MORI Christian Thönes to discuss cooperation issues of mutual interest.
The meeting tackled means to boost cooperation in the fields of military and civil industrialization, Morsi said.
The meeting also took up cooperation between the Ministry of Military Production and DMG MORI in the field of industrial digitization, he added.
Meanwhile, Thönes expressed happiness over cooperation with the ministry due to the technological, manufacturing, technical, research and human potentials available in its companies in addition to its participation in implementing several national projects and developmental projects in Egypt, adding that the Egyptian market has many attractive potentials given the economic growth Egypt is witnessing now.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed that a delegation of the company will visit military factory 9 in the coming period within the framework of the efforts of both sides to ink a non-disclosure agreement to establish the biggest and latest foundry for engineering industries in light of integration between the ministry and the Arab Organization of Industrialization (AOI) as there was cooperation with DMG MORI company to industrialize the components of CNC machines which serve the cooperation between the German company and the AOI to contribute to achiving added value to the Egyptian economy and boost efforts of deepening local industrialization and localizing technology.
