Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eldin Mostafa had a meeting on Wednesday with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour to discuss means of strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs Yasser Refaat, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) Mahmoud M. Saqr, President of Helwan University Elsayyed Qandil, President of Kafr el Sheikh University Abdel-Razeq El-Desouqi, Vice President of Assiut University Maha Kamel Ghanem, in addition to CEO of the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) Walaa Sheta.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed cooperation files, stressing that the meeting reflected the two sides’ keenness on implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to boost cooperation among state institutions and scientific research centers.
The minister also asserted the Military Production Ministry’s keenness on closely following up the implementation of the projects carried out by its affiliated companies and units and speeding up their implementation as per the set timetable.
The Military Production Ministry attached great importance to contributing to developing the higher education system in Egypt and the manufacturing and production system, the minister further noted.
For his part, the higher education minister said the aim of the meeting is to follow up the latest developments related to the implementation of a number of projects.
The meeting also falls within the framework of the strategies of the two ministries to achieve Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030, he added.
The two sides agreed on signing a number of cooperation protocols between the Military Production Ministry and technology faculties affiliated to the Higher Education Ministry.
