He requested that the ambassador convey a message of thanks to Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani for the recent financial grant of $20 million to support Lebanese military salaries, part of a series of payments aimed at bolstering the Lebanese Armed Forces.

Mikati also extended his greetings to Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Following the ambassador’s visit, Prime Minister Mikati chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with proposing amendments to the Code of Money and Credit. The meeting was attended by former ministers Ibrahim Najjar and Shakib Qortbawi, Judge
