MBZUAI opens applications for intensive AI programme

ABU DHABI: Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has opened registration for the week-long executive programme for 30 local and international executives in Abu Dhabi in October.

The MBZUAI Executive Programme – Accelerated (MEP-A) is a six-day condensed, tailored programme of the university’s popular MBZUAI Executive Programme (MEP).

Applications are now open for the first cohort and will close on 25th September, 2024.

The programme will kick off with an orientation day on 20th October, followed by on campus lectures, site visits, and cultural and networking activities to be held from 21st to 25th October, 2024.

The curriculum will cover the UAE’s AI strategy, AI fundamentals, and industry case studies ranging from robotics to manufacturing and energy.

Participants will also have the opportunity to get first-hand experience on how UAE-based entities are adopting AI and advanced technologies through site visits and networking events.

‘MEP-A has maintained its academic rigor and
offers local and international executives, startup founders and co-founders, top management from publicly traded companies and multinational corporations, and international foundation directors’ the opportunity to access the greatest global minds in artificial intelligence right here in Abu Dhabi,’ MBZUAI’s Vice President of Public Affairs and Alumni Relations Sultan Al Hajji said.

He added, ‘In return for their minimal time commitment, participants will graduate with knowledge on the best practices in AI strategy and implementation as well as how to use the power of AI responsibly. The programme will conclude with business integration – enabling participants to directly apply their knowledge to their organisations – and networking opportunities with past MEP alumni.’

A total of 30 international and UAE-based participants will be selected and may opt to attend the biggest tech and startup event in the world, GITEX Global, at Dubai World Trade Centre (14th to 18th October, 2024) as a prelude to MEP-A.
