Cairo: Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, announced an unprecedented public response to the ministry’s pavilion at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair. The pavilion features interactive environmental activities, workshops, and awareness campaigns aimed at promoting sustainability and resource conservation in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministry’s Environmental Awareness Team is showcasing key initiatives, including the Go Green campaign, Eco Egypt, and E-Tadwer for e-waste management. Visitors can participate in recycling workshops, environmental games, theatrical puppet shows, and educational discussions.
Supported by the National Solid Waste Management Program (NSWMP) and TFSC Egypt, the ministry’s participation highlights its commitment to environmental education. The fair, running from January 23 to February 5, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, features Oman as the Guest of Honor and honors the late scientist Ahmed Mostagir and writer Fatma El-Maadoul.
