Mashat stresses depth of partnership with EU, OECD in various domains

International Cooperation Minister Rania Mashat stressed the importance of the program for the EU-funded project “Support to Enhanced Administrative and Public Economic Governance in Egypt” which is being implemented in tandem with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Ministry of Communications and IT, the Ministry of Planning and the Central Agency For Organization and Administration.

She made the remarks on Wednesday during her speech at a high-level conference on the EU-funded project “Support to Enhanced Administrative and Public Economic Governance in Egypt” in light of the strategic partnership between Egypt and the EU.

Mashat said the program focuses on three mainstays; backing Egypt Vision 2030 and the national strategy for administrative reform in addition to implementing effective financial systems through participation among national bodies and development partners.

She said the ministry is keen on achieving sustainable development priorities in various domains.

She lauded the government’s cooperation with the EU, noting that the development cooperation portfolio with the EU hit 1.3 billion euros in various domains.

The two-day conference will focus on means of magnifying the benefit of the program in light of the government’s priorities.
