Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat has discussed with Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair means of promoting joint cooperation between the Egyptian government and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore, also touched on supporting areas of sustainable development and promoting inter-African integration via the programs backed by the institute.
During the meeting, Mashat reviewed axes of the economic, social and environmental reform program that has been launched by Egypt since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took office in 2014, the Ministry of International Cooperation said in a statement Friday.
This program has improved economic and social stability, supported comprehensive and sustainable growth, and contributed to stimulating integration between Egypt and the region’s countries in a way that propels efforts to maintain development and stability across the region, she added.
The minister also reviewed the Decent Life Presidential Initiative that aims to improve the lives of more than half of the Egyptian citizens through developing sustainable infrastructure in Egyptian villages, and promoting investment in human capital.
