Bamako: Mali’s Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maga lauded Egypt’s continuous support for Mali, highlighting the Egyptian pioneering experiment in combating terror. During his meeting with Egyptian Ambassador to Mali Mohamed el Gammal, Maga expressed Mali’s desire to benefit from the Egyptian experiment in combating terrorism.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Maga said that Mali is looking forward to promoting aspects of cooperation with Egypt in different fields, including security, energy, health, and culture. Maga praised the training courses and programs of building capabilities presented by Egypt to Mali’s cadres in different specializations, asserting that they contribute to developing the institutional capabilities in Mali.
For his part, Gammal said that Egypt and Mali have strong historic ties, adding that the two countries are giving a top priority to collaboration in achieving security and stability, supporting the developmental operation, and boosting economic cooperation. Gammal expressed Egypt’s readiness to offer all needed support to meet the needs of Mali in light of current challenges.
