Malian Foreign Minister Seeks Egyptian Expertise for Diplomatic Training.


Cairo: Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop has expressed a strong interest in leveraging the expertise of Egypt’s Institute for Diplomatic Studies to enhance Mali’s diplomatic training capabilities. During a visit to the institute, which is affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Diop emphasized the importance of transferring Egyptian diplomatic knowledge and experience to Bamako.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the purpose of Diop’s visit was to gain firsthand insight into the operations of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies as Mali pursues the establishment of its own diplomatic training institution. Yasser Elwy, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of the Institute, presented an overview of the various activities and programs offered by the institute.

Discussions between the two parties focused on potential training opportunities for Malian diplomats and government officials. The Malian delegation expressed a keen interest in organizing training courses related to
diplomatic protocols and ceremonies, with an emphasis on both diplomatic and economic events.
