Ma’an Monitor: Autumn begins tomorrow, with local rain in some areas


Bethlehem-Ma’an- Astronomically, autumn begins in Palestine and the northern hemisphere tomorrow, Saturday.

According to meteorologist Lamaa Daoud Tarwa, the fall season will begin at exactly 03:44 AM Jerusalem time, as the autumnal equinox occurs when the sun is completely perpendicular to the celestial equator, and on this day summer ends and fall begins.

The autumnal equinox in Jerusalem rises at exactly 06:27 from the exact eastern corner. The east can be determined by a specific area on the horizon such as houses or trees. Then the sun sets on the same day at exactly 06:35 from the exact western corner. The western corner can also be determined by the place of sunset. Thus, the night lasts for 11 hours, 52 minutes, and 36 seconds, and the day lasts for 12 hours, 7 minutes, and 24 seconds.

The weather forecaster added that it is expected that rain will fall in some areas during the hours of tonight and tomorrow, with a slight drop in temperatures.
