Finance Minister Mohamed Maait asserted Egypt is interested in probing vistas of boosting joint cooperation with Britain in minting domain through exchanging experiences and capitalizing on special cadres in the two countries.
The move will mainly contribute to meeting needs of local markets and neighboring countries with high quality, added Maait while reviewing economic performance indices for the past Fiscal Year 2021/2022 during a meeting with British Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bayley and his accompanying delegation.
The minister affirmed the country is capable of flexibly dealing with economic changes worldwide.
Egypt was among very few countries that achieved an initial surplus at 1.3 percent in the previous FY, according to him.
In turn, Bayley said the UK supports development efforts in Egypt in different fields, which aim to raise the public standards of living and services offered to people nationwide.
He said the UK is keen on exploring new horizons of cooperation in coinage industry between the mint authorities in the two countries serving their joint interests.
