Finance Minister Mohamed Maait voiced his keenness to stimulate the small and micro enterprises and encourage them to engage in the official economy via offering them all means of support and remove obstacles they face.

This would help increase local production rates and encourage the national industry in a way that contributes to achieving economic growth, the minister said in a statement on Friday.

Maait said his ministry continues holding exhibitions for heritage products and handicrafts, which he said represent a good window for marketing the traditional products made by the residents of the border cities, helping them to develop their handicrafts which embody the Egyptian heritage.

This comes after the Finance Ministry organized the Egyptian heritage and handicrafts exhibition which ran for five days and wrapped up its activities on Thursday.
