Luxor: Luxor Governor Abdel-Muttalib Amara and US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa inaugurated an exhibit titled “Jimmy Carter: 100 Years of Uniting Peoples” at the Misr Public Library in Luxor. The event marks a significant cultural collaboration between the United States and Egypt.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ambassador Mustafa emphasized the exhibit’s role in underscoring the robust ties between the US and Egypt. She expressed her delight in hosting the exhibit in Luxor, marking its first appearance outside the capital city of Cairo. The US diplomat highlighted Luxor’s rich cultural heritage and historical significance, deeming it an ideal location to honor former US President Jimmy Carter’s legacy in peacebuilding efforts.
Ambassador Mustafa noted that Carter’s efforts have had a lasting impact on the US-Egypt partnership. She remarked on his deep relationship with Egypt, shaped by his friendship and admiration for the late Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat. The exhibit serves
as a testament to Carter’s ongoing influence in fostering peaceful relations and mutual respect between the two nations.
