Siwa: The international Siwa Sands Air Rally “Siwa Sands Rally 2025”, hosted by Egypt from April 4 to 9 under the supervision of the International Air Sports Federation (FAI), kicked off on Friday 4/4/2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the event is organized by The Flying Pharaoh, Egypt’s premier aerosport and aviation company. The light aircraft rally sees the participation of 10 light aircraft representing several European and Middle Eastern countries, including the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Turkey, Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

The rally is held under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in coordination with the Egyptian Air Force, the Armed Forces Operations Authority, and the Egyptian Aviation Club. It forms a part of ongoing efforts to boost Egypt’s position as a leading destination for aerosports and to promote Egyptian tourist destinations. The rally starts from Marsa Matruh International Airport, travels through Siwa Airpor
t and El Alamein International Airport, and concludes at Sphinx International Airport.

Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El Hafni expressed gratitude to the event sponsors and participating countries, stating that Egypt’s hosting of such events demonstrates its high organizational capabilities and its ability to host international sporting and tourism events.
