Largest edition of ISNR to begin on 21st May in Abu Dhabi


ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the largest ever edition of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) 2024 will take place on 21-23 May with record participation expected from leading international companies active in the sector.

This announcement of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024 was made at a press conference held today to announce details of the eighth edition of the exhibition organised by the ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and in strategic partnership with Abu Dhabi Police and academic partnership with Rabdan Academy.

Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024, said, ‘Held under the theme of ‘Accelerating Transformation in National Security Ecosystem,’ ISNR 2024 will outline a strategic vision designed to complement general efforts to anticipate the future and devise solutions to meet the
diverse range of urgent global challenges that lie ahead.”

He explained that ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024 became a high-impact platform facilitating direct access to regional government specialists and buyers. “The event would help forge public-private cooperation to advance best practices and accelerate innovation in resilience, prevention, and response to empower the national and cybersecurity communities to enhance global security.’

He added that the exhibition and conference would be a forum and platform for leading experts in the fields of cyber and national security and crisis management to evaluate the most important strategies for enhancing readiness and preparedness for the future. By addressing four core focus areas of national security, cybersecurity, policing and law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection, ISNR 2024 would provide vital insights on enhanced security, community and civil protection, and the latest innovations in the field of national security.

Humaid Al Dhaheri, Managing Dire
ctor and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, explained that the current session of the exhibition would witness record participation by major international companies specialised in the sector, an outcome that reflected ADNEC Group’s keenness to support sustainable growth of all the events it organises while enhancing their competitiveness at the regional and international levels. This objective was at the core of its strategy to confirm the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as the capital of the business tourism sector in the region.

He added that the current session would include the launch of 6 new features held for the first time within the exhibition. These unique features represented a qualitative addition to the activities that come within ADNEC Group’s remit and would contribute to establishing and enhancing strategic partnerships while attracting new investment to Abu Dhabi.

James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, the academic partner for ISNR 2024, said, ‘We are committed to enriching participants’ know
ledge, fostering the exchange of experiences and expertise, and offering insightful perspectives to strengthen the national security system.’

He added, ‘The Ministry of Interior and Rabdan Academy, in cooperation with the ADNEC Group, will host ISNR 2024 conference, gathering global decision-makers, experts and specialists. Our aim is to establish this conference as a premier platform driving the formulation of future strategies, fostering security innovation and promoting sustainability in national security.’

Morse extended his thanks to the Supreme Organising Committee for ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024, for their diligent preparations. He also conveyed appreciation to the Ministry of Interior and ADNEC Group for their roles as essential partners in organising the ISNR 2024 conference.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council, said, ‘The United Arab Emirates has made great strides in setting suitable policies and developing advanced strategies for cybersecurity technology. ISNR Abu Dhabi
2024 provides a platform that brings together experts from a wide range of countries around the world to exchange knowledge and experience in this important and growing field.’

Cybersecurity remains critical to national security, he explained, adding that the exhibition offers an ideal opportunity to showcase the latest technological developments in this field. He also emphasised that with the UAE and Abu Dhabi holding one of the most prominent and important positions in the cyber and national security sector, ISNR provided the leading platform in the region for collaboration and innovation on digital asset protection and infrastructure security.

Brigadier General Saif Saeed Al Shamsi of Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters said, ‘The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ is proud to be a strategic partner for ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024, which is a key platform for networking and the exchanging ideas on national security, cybersecurity, policing, law enforcement and protection.

He added, “By strengthening the links between globa
l partners and national security entities and institutions at the local and regional levels, ISNR promotes the exchange of best practices, increasing opportunities for enhanced cooperation and long-term partnership on a global scale. Abu Dhabi Police continues to implement the vision of the wise leadership by adopting advanced technologies to enhance national security and building capabilities to face global security challenges over the coming years.’

Darren Johnson, CEO of Capital Events, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, revealed that the total square metres of area space had increased by 57 percent to reach approximately 24,038 square metres compared to the event’s previous edition. With 210 exhibitors due to participate at ISNR 2024, this represented a 14 percent on the event’s 2022 edition. Also, the presence of 35 participating countries showed a 6 percent increase that reflected ISNR’s expanding global profile.

Johnson pointed out that ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024 would feature the launch of a Startup Zone, suppor
ted by the Khalifa Fund, where 15 startup companies would present innovative solutions. In addition, the UAE pavilion would be the largest of the six international pavilions participating in the exhibition, while the ISNR talks would include 30 sessions with 38 participants.

‘With world-leading companies, specialists and national security and cybersecurity agencies assembled, the eighth edition of ISNR will help consolidate business partnerships among entities operating in areas including national security, cybersecurity, police and law enforcement, and critical infrastructure protection,’ he added.

The exhibition and accompanying conference will provide the ideal platform to support local and international stakeholders, as well as exhibitors and participants who can benefit from gaining significant industry knowledge while expanding their global business network.’

For the first time, ISNR hosts a new feature, uniting the expertise and resources of diverse police forces from around the globe within the exhibition. The Interpol Policing Hub acts as a central hub for collaboration, knowledge sharing, a
nd innovation in global law enforcement. Attendees can anticipate engaging sessions, interactive demonstrations, and networking opportunities with top law enforcement professionals worldwide.

Additionally, the Delegation and Networking area at ISNR Abu Dhabi 2024 will unite the foremost minds in homeland security, cybersecurity, policing, and law enforcement. This dedicated area will feature a worldwide network of experts, encompassing government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders, to cultivate collaborations that enhance security measures globally.

Alongside these, Emerging Enterprises at ISNR is another new feature that highlights the unique cross-sectoral capabilities of entities from new participating countries at the exhibition. With a significant demand, 44 percent of the participating companies are making their debut appearance from around the world and will showcase innovative technology that promote cybersecurity, protect essential infrastructure and further support national security.

A
further focus on innovation is evident in the new Tech Talks, a live podcast engaging industry leaders on social media platforms to broaden awareness of cyber security advances. ISNR Tech Talks, broadcasts directly from the exhibition floor. The aim of these episodes is to actively involve industry leaders on social media platforms and enhance the role of social media in disseminating messages and facilitating discussions about the latest advancements and trends in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and the Homeland Security ecosystem.

The ISNR Startup Zone, powered by the Khalifa Fund, will host 15 startups demonstrating creative new tech for visitors. The launch of this Startup Zone will provide the valuable opportunity for innovative and up and coming companies to showcase innovative designs to visitors, gaining exposure to industry leaders and both private and public entities.

In addition to ISNR’s new features, the long-established and prestigious ISNR Talks will once again explore cutting-edge t
opics through a dynamic agenda of panel discussions and Q and A sessions providing valuable insights and perspectives. This year’s Talks will feature a total 30 of sessions with 38 speakers, compared to 23 sessions and 30 speakers presented in the previous edition.
