His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday stressed the need to translate the outcomes of the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” conference into tangible action to unify humanitarian efforts and activate them at the needed level.
During a meeting with Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi on the sidelines of the conference held at the Dead Sea, His Majesty stressed the need to address the impediments to the flow of sufficient and urgent aid into Gaza.
At the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the King called for providing a sufficient number of trucks to deliver aid into the Strip, to ensure enough stockpiles of assistance are available.
According to a royal court statement, His Majesty commended Egypt’s key role and major, ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire, as well as its work to create a political horizon to achieve just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
