King Hosts Grand Banquet in Celebration of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah’s Wedding

His Majesty King Abdullah II hosted an elaborate banquet on Wednesday, a celebration woven with cordiality and joy to mark the matrimony of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II. The event, at the Royal Hashemite Court, brought together dignitaries and guests from all corners of the Kingdom, epitomizing unity and shared joy. In the grand banquet, His Majesty was accompanied by Prince El Hassan bin Talal and other members of the royal family. His Majesty voiced his heartfelt admiration for Hussein’s resilience and vision for the nation. This auspicious event marks a pivotal juncture in Hussein’s life, the King expressed. Wishing success and prosperity for the Crown Prince, His Majesty extended his gratitude to the attendees and all Jordanians, as their presence added to the mirth and grandeur of the occasion. His Majesty bestowed upon the Crown Prince a sword emblematic of justice and defense of the homeland. The sword, meticulously crafted from iron obtained from the stones encircling Ajloun Castle, is a replica of the blade once wielded by the late Founding King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein. The arrival of the Crown Prince, flanked by his cousins, Their Royal Highnesses the princes, along with relatives and colleagues from the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, marked the commencement of the ceremony. Traditional melodies performed by the Kafr Jayez Band filled the air, enhancing the jubilant ambiance. Accompanied by the acrobatic display of the Royal Air Force planes, the Silent Infantry Team from the Special Royal Guard Command showcased a stellar performance. Jordanian artists, popular bands, and the music of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, played integral roles in creating a festive backdrop, resonating with authentic Jordanian heritage. The celebration also featured an enchanting recital of a poem by poet Hilal Al-Shurafat, while a collection of local artists, including Hussein Al-Salman, Saad Abu Tayeh, Hussam and Wissam Al-Lawzi, Bashar Al-Sarhan, and others, from various regions of the Kingdom, participated to create a mosaic of cultural expression at the grand ceremony.
