Chairperson of the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights Moshira Khattab reviewed Egypt’s experience in hosting the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
During the International Conference on Climate Change and Human Rights, Khattab – who chaired an action group on experiments of the national human rights councils, reviewed the conditions in Arab and Middle East countries that are liable to be affected by climate change.
She underlined the importance of regional and international cooperation to confront this phenomenon and stressed that Egypt is open for exchanging expertise, especially its successful experience for hosting COP27.
She highlighted the importance of building on the achievements of COP27.
Khattab offered condolences to Turkey and Syria over the victims of the destructive earthquake which hit them a few weeks ago
She called for more international solidarity with both countries away from politicization.
