The Khalifa Award for Education delegation explored the prospects of mutual cooperation with the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education during its official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The delegation’s visit aimed to introduce the fields covered in the current cycle of the Khalifa Award for Education, which encompasses 10 categories at both the local and Arab levels.
The award categories include educational personality, general education, community service and people with disabilities, creativity in teaching Arabic language, higher education, educational research, child educational authorship, innovative educational projects and programmes. Additionally, the delegation introduced the second edition of the Khalifa International Award for Early Childhood Education, including two categories: research and studies, as well as programs, curricula, and teaching methodologies.

haheri, a board member of the Khalifa Award for Education, Amal Al Afifi, the Secretary-General of the award, Dr. Suad Al Suwaidi, the Deputy Secretary-General, and Dr. Jameela Khanji, a member of the award’s executive committee.
During their visit, the delegation met with Lubna Touqan, the Executive Director of the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education, at the award’s headquarters in Amman. Touqan delivered a presentation about the award’s mission, objectives, and its role in advancing education in Jordan.
Touqan stated, “Our mission is to celebrate educational excellence and spread and deepen the culture of excellence and creativity in society through awarding national educational awards based on global standards. The association has institutionalised its outputs and contributes to knowledge production following governance principles.”

ward for Excellence in Education. He added, “The Khalifa Award for Education continues its journey of excellence in the local, Arab, and international educational fields. We are proud of the excellence and leadership achieved since inception, highlighting distinguished teaching, administrative staff, and outstanding societal entities who have all made significant contributions to education at various levels.”
Amal Al Afifi noted, “The award has succeeded in being a bridge for communication, exchanging experiences and expertise among various elements of the educational process. This explains the wide interest in participating in the award’s events and nominations through its various cycles. The award has become a platform for excellence, leadership, and innovation in the educational field.”
Dr. Suad Al Suwaidi emphasised that the award is committed to excellence in its mission, objectives, and its role in supporting the development of the education sector and anticipating its future. Over the past 17 years,
the award has made a qualitative leap in the culture of excellence in both general and university education through its varied fields, contributing to stimulating workers in the education sector toward creativity, innovation, and leadership, resulting in the award’s achievement in educational awards at the local, regional, and international levels.
Dr. Jameela Khanji provided an overview of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning, introduced for the first time globally to enhance the journey of early childhood development. This field aims to highlight the most prominent scientific and practical practices under the auspices of this category, providing a stimulating environment for growth, innovation, and excellence.
A donour committee, consisting of prominent early childhood education specialists globally, is responsible for evaluating and adjudicating the nominated works in this field. The committee will seek to recognise and reward outstanding contributions to the field of early childhood educat
ion worldwide.
